Langley Federal's field of membership is based on a common bond of people. This field of membership provides three ways to become a member: To determine if you are eligible for credit union membership, please telephone the Contact Center or visit any branch location of Langley Federal Credit Union.   You may already be eligible for Langley Federal membership through your employer or through an organization to which you belong — like your church or Homeowner's Association, for example. Many local businesses and organizations offer the credit union benefit to their employees or members.

If your company does not offer Langley Federal membership as an employee/member benefit, please let us know. We are continuously adding businesses and organizations to our field of membership. Just give us a call at 757-643-8740, 800-826-7490 or email marketing@langleyfcu.org and we'll put our Business Development Department to work for you.   Once you become a member of Langley Federal, you may sponsor any qualified member of your immediate family or household. This means your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships may all enjoy the benefits of belonging to the Langley Federal family. The term "household members" includes persons living in the same residence, maintaining a single economic unit such as domestic partners, roommates, family members and legal guardian relationships.   You may be eligible as a result of where you live, work, worship, or go to school. Langley Federal serves areas within Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg that are classified as "Investment Areas". Typically, these Investment Areas are lacking in affordable financial service providers, and residents often turn to high priced providers for basic financial needs. Now, anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in the approved area can join Langley Federal Credit Union. Eligibility is also extended to all businesses and other legal entities in these specific areas. Call or visit LFCU to find out if your area is eligible for membership.
