NEWPORT NEWS, VA — Langley Federal Credit Union will host their first Carpool Day to help employees save money and benefit the environment on Wednesday, June 18. Staff carpooling or walking to work will be registered to win a cash deposit and be able to dress down for the day. Plus, carpool drivers get $10 from the Credit Union. Staff walking or bicycling to work will receive $5.

"The concept for Carpool Day was developed after hearing how the rising gas prices are affecting the LFCU staff," said President/CEO Jean Yokum. "With over 400 people employed here, if we can encourage even half of those employees to carpool, we'll consider this to be a huge success. In addition to saving money and helping the environment, this is a great way for employees to get to know one another."
